We are proud to share that Aeropuertos Uruguay inaugurated the new Carmelo International Airport, after carrying out modernization works that included the renovation of the aeronautical infrastructure and the construction of a new air terminal.
The modernization included the construction of a new air terminal, equipped with all the comforts and technology to receive national and international flights, as well as a Duty Free Shop and a Narbona gastronomic space.
In addition, the renovation of the infrastructure included paving and extending the main runway, taxiway and platform, as well as the installation of lights with LED technology, state-of-the-art communication equipment, and a new automatic weather station. Carmelo International Airport complies with the highest international standards of operational safety and service.
