Sunflower in Our Airports

At Aeropuertos Uruguay, we are committed to accessibility and are pleased to announce that our eight airports in the country, as well as Latin America Cargo City (LACC), have joined the Sunflower Hidden Disabilities program.

This initiative allows passengers with non-visible disabilities to wear a sunflower-designed lanyard, should they voluntarily choose to do so, as a way to communicate that they may require additional support during their time at the airport.

To ensure a strong and effective implementation, we carried out awareness sessions and training for all operational teams, concessionaires, and agencies working in our terminals. In this way, every person within the airport ecosystem is prepared to provide respectful, empathetic, and needs-adapted assistance to each passenger.

The program’s lanyards can be requested free of charge at the information points of each airport and at LACC.

The incorporation of the Sunflower program throughout our network reaffirms our commitment to promoting modern, accessible airports designed for everyone, fostering a culture of inclusion that accompanies every passenger on their journey and connects Uruguay with the world in a more human way.
