The summer season has already begun at Punta del Este International Airport, and everything is in place to support one of the strongest operations of recent years, with sustained growth in both commercial and private flights. The airport has deployed a comprehensive airside and terminal operation to accompany this increase with maximum efficiency and a high-level travel experience.
This summer, regional connectivity is being strengthened through new routes and increased frequencies, driven by airlines’ commitment to the destination.
GOL returns to Punta del Este, reinforcing our connection with Brazil through flights from São Paulo and Buenos Aires. This commitment strengthens Uruguay’s connectivity and recognizes our airport as a strategic gateway to one of the region’s most important tourist destinations. Aerolíneas Argentinas, meanwhile, is expanding its operation from Argentina, with more frequencies from Buenos Aires and the addition of the Córdoba – Punta del Este route.
This increase consolidates the airport as a strategic entry point for tourism and business in the eastern region of the country, expanding options for passengers and strengthening the regional ecosystem.
Punta del Este International Airport continues working to sustain a robust, safe and efficient operation throughout the season, connecting Uruguay with the region and the world through an increasingly attractive offering.
