Open Days in Paysandú

Paysandú International Airport hosted two Open Day events held during Tourism Week and alongside the deployment of the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU) Liaison Squadron.

Both were very special community engagement activities, attracting hundreds of visitors and offering a closer look at how the airport operates.

Attendees had the opportunity to see aircrafts up close and learn more about aviation-related operations. They could also explore static displays and gain first-hand insight into the work of the airport’s Fire Department.

The event held during the FAU Liaison Squadron’s deployment featured an unforgettable closing, including an aerobatic demonstration flight by a Pilatus aircraft and a formation flight of the squadron’s four planes.

During Tourism Week, the Open Days were organized together with the Paysandú Aeroclub, also offering guided tours of the facilities and recreational activities for the whole family.

These types of initiatives are key to bringing aviation closer to the community.
