We are proud to present the 2023–2024 Sustainability Report of Corporación América Airports in Uruguay, where we share the milestones, results, and management efforts of Aeropuertos Uruguay and Latin America Cargo City in the economic, environmental, social, and governance areas during this period.
Over these two years, we have advanced infrastructure through the modernization of the National System of International Airports, with the inauguration of the new international airports in Rivera, Salto, Melo, and Paysandú, the consolidation of Carmelo Airport, the construction of Durazno Airport, and the opening of a new General Aviation Terminal at Punta del Este Airport.
In terms of environmental achievements, we reduced our carbon footprint by 20% and obtained Airport Carbon Accreditation certifications—Level 2 at Carrasco Airport and Level 1 at Punta del Este Airport. We also received the National Energy Efficiency Award for the development of an AI-based ventilation system management solution and the Ecovadis Bronze certification for LACC, among other accomplishments.
As part of our efforts to eliminate barriers and promote inclusion and accessibility, we obtained Level 1 and later Level 2 certifications under the Airports Council International Accessibility Enhancement Program, joined the Sunflower Hidden Disabilities Program, and trained our staff and airport community on these issues.
Recognizing the strategic role of airports as drivers of economic and social development, we have carried out and supported various initiatives with social impact and community development in the areas where we operate, as well as actions aimed at fostering a sustainable value chain.
We are proud of all the achievements of these past years and remain committed to charting new horizons to continue connecting Uruguay with the world in a sustainable way.
